Very sad news received of the death this morning of Heritage member and contributor Martin Campbell. Martin has suffered from ill health for a long time and was one of the many subjected to long delays in starting his cancer treatment as a consequence of COVID. Throughout it all he remained the most optimistic of people and regaled with witty tales sent as he underwent his thrice weekly blood transfusions. Taken into hospital a month ago he was last in contact on Thursday, lost consciousness on Friday and died this morning.
Martin has contributed many articles to Heritage, including The Wisbech Chronicles, Golden Days for Fenland and Sam's Indie Warriors

R.I.P. Martin
A nice tribute to Martin in this week's newsletter. What a life. What other secret lives do Heritage writers have.
Sorry to hear this news. Martins pieces are always entertaining with a bit of wit. The interview with Wayne Bridges was outstanding. Thank you Martin. R.I.P
R.I.P. Martin, my sympathy to his family and friends, you'll be missed on the forum.

Maybe we should have a list of honour of all those gone that have made contributions.
Martin wrote some great pieces of research.

That's a great shame. Martin was a knowledgeable and generous contributor and joined in all our fun.
