Thanks Gernot. SaxonWolf mentioned this some time back but the addition of the photo is great proof. Seems that our Masambula got the name from his own, Mambuna Jeng, possibly with a nod to Max Bambula. A couple of years back you (Anglo Italian that is) searched for our old Max Bambula thread with no luck. I can't find it either and think it must have been on not our last forum incarnation but the one before. New things spring up on the net, why not start a new Bambula thread and we could have another go?
Indio Guajaro, Jose Rodrigez is a alias, his real name was something with Barabas, wrestled as Masambula sometimes written Mazambula only in Columbia. In Europe he used Jose Rodriguez and Indio Guajaro.
Mazambula could be our old friend, Indio Guajaro (Jose Rodriguez) who wrestled over here in the mid 70's and 80's including a TV appearance against Roy St. Clair in 1974, and Pete Roberts in 1985. He was a mainstay of the German and Austrian tournaments for over 20 years. He used the Mazambula name.
There was another, Mazambula el Brujo, so it could be him also, of course.

’Maza’ without his mask And a ‘Maza’ junior, not related, nor even from the same country!
Not to mention Max Bambula.
