Suddenly Out of Nowhere in 1957-A 'Mystery' HEAVYWEIGHT Wrestler Appeared!
It seems his 'Identity' was a 'Secret'!
He Appears at NEW ST. JAMES HALL in NEWCASTLE and it is Stated That he is a
'Refugee' and doesn't want Who he is to be Known!
Why Then?
I would Venture here That The DATE is VERY Significant Indeed!
Remember what happened in 1956??
Yes!-The HUNGARIAN Uprising!!
Was This Wrestler Fleeing This Attempted 'Coup'
Was RADAK In Fact Non-Other Than TIBOR SZAKACS??
Below 3 of My Original NEWCASTLE Programmes for Early 1957-
Featuring This 'Enigma' of a 'Newcomer'!
What do We think??
MAIN MASK

Radak's first recorded appearance is in Glasgow on 18th January, 1957.
I think we can rule out Tibor. Tibor arrived in Britain in December, 1956. He was put up in lodgings in Westgate on Sea in Kent, and given five shillings allowance a week. On 11th January all the Hungarian refugees living in Westgate were invited to the wrestling show at the Coronation Hall, Ramsgate. It was then that Tibor was given his debut on 8th February.
So it's hardly likely for a man on five shillings a week to have travelled to Glasgow three weeks before his debut.
Of the three programmes posted by Main Mask (good find MM) Ray Plunkett has Tibor working at Norwich on 27th April.
