Jimmy Devlin says he worked on bills with a few Stranglers, but he's not aware of any regular using the name. The most frequent that he knew was Norman Hart from Stockton on Tees, who mostly wrestled as the masked Whistler but was sometimes used by Don Robinson as The Strangler. Norman was local to the North East and would not have been the Strangler on Main Mask's poster.
Rex Casey Mid-Heavy weight champion of Europe?
I think the STRANGLER was Harry Bennett.
Regards to all. Ian P.
I think THE STRANGLER was Harry Bennett.

There was a masked Strangler on independent bills from 1963, sometimes tagging with The Ghoul. I'd be surprised if he was the same wrestler that cropped up on Joint bills.
Them there are Joint Promotions programmes. Strangler must have been very capable to go in with Dory Dixon.
In The Late 1960's The STRANGLER Moves to JOINT Promotions and Wrestles
for RELWYSKOW at MADELEY STREET BATHS in HULL!!
Below in FEBRUARY 1969 The STRANGLER is Pitted against 'Fellow' AMERICAN
DORY DIXON!!
