The late Mick McManus from New Cross South London,The infamous villian hard man of wrestling for many decades with his tag team partner of Steve Logan.
His great wonderful feuds with Jackie Pallo from 1962-73 in Britain with the viewers up 11-12 millions more than the F.A Cup finals on ITV Sport and he retired from the wrestling ring at Bedworth in May 1982 against Catweazle and the 10 bout count.
The Great battles against Johnny Saint at Solihull in The Midlands and referee Brian Crabtree sent McManus back to the dressing room and Saint is the winner by MC Martin Conroy as he stepping out of the ring tells Kent Walton the truth in the fifth round in 1976.
Wednesday May 22nd 2013,Mick McManus died in the nursing home at the age of 93 years in London.
Brian Maxine met Mick McManus for the middleweight championship belt and Maxine won it over McManus at Aylesbury in December 1978 on ITV World of Sport.

In the 1960s I waited eagerly for the TV Times to see who was on the Saturday afternoon wrestling. I wasn't alone. Then there was a sigh. Another Dale Martin show. Another predictable McManus match.
Watching him these days, fortunately with greater gaps, I appreciate what a good villain he was.
Mick and Jackie were fighting as early as 1952.
