Thanks Phil. Ah well, it was worth a try and brings Harry Strickland back to the fore. I'm surprised Lee Scott had no recollection as a year or two later he was promoting with Harry. Still, now its Harry and the garage man. One day....
An interesting theory on Dominic being attached to triple promotions, anything in wrestling is possible! I have my doubts however, why, because in the dressing room prior to the events, Dominic was sat down and chatting to Jack Cassidy in a "normal way". He even said hello to us other guys. If he was in any way attached to the promoting side, I think his approach would be very different.
I recall that before I got the billing at the Floral Hall Bob Bannister and myself drove over to Morecambe on a Saturday or Sunday, where we discussed the issue with Al Strickland and an older guy with white hair (I can still picture him) of modest stature, but with the attire he had on he was definitely a business man. Not sure on this point, but I think he owned a garage, as the talks were at a garage.
Bob Bannister did have a good relation with Jack Taylor and our boys were on Jack Taylor's bills in the Leicester area. I myself was on a bill for him in Nuneaton.
As far as Ray Taylor is concerned, he wasn't a member of the Bannister gym, at least not in the time that I was there, but I think he did get some billings from Bob, but he was mainly working for his brother Jack.
Triple Promotions remain a mystery but William could be on to something. Here's a theory. Admittedly a baseless theory but we've come up with lots of those in the past that have turned out to be accurate. In 1960 Harry Bennett was working for Joint and living in Barnsley. I've heard that Dominic was the driving force behind Harry moving to Blackpool and reinventing himself as Dominics brother Casey. I've also heard that Harry was reluctant, don't know if thats true. Dominic had only recently moved from Joint and was starting to promote. For Dominic to invite Harry into the promoting business as a partner would be tempting, and require the move to Blackpool. If Jack could be enrolled into the proposition that would make it even more tempting. But Jack was still working for Joint so there was no way it could be known he was involved. Jack, Harry and Dominic would also make sense with Harry Strickland as their trusted lieutenant.
But there are other independent strongholds here with cars from Manchester and Accrington. We've got Lindberg, Cssidy and Carpenter from Manchester on 19th August. Plus Ian, Andreas, Mike and Ray from Accrington. But I don't recall Mike mentioning Ray. Was there any connection between the Taylors and the Bannister boys?
Great bills williamr. Yes, the Floral Hall was a good venue for me i.e., not much traveling involved and as a young wrestler just at the beginning of a professional wrestling career, you can imagine what it was like standing alongside people such as Dominic Pye and Jack Cassidy!
One question however that we haven’t been able to resolve, was "Who was behind Triple Promotions"?
These are great William and open more questions. But I've just come in from a nice meal out and have the importance of the Bake Off final to attend to.
No. This would be the Talio Kid in the A-Z

I note a “Talio Kidd” there. An early Peter Kaye?

Alan Taylor? Another Taylor?
Nice to see Talio and Ezra with yet another name.
Thanks Phil. By the make up of the bills at The Floral Hall, could Dominic Pye have been involved in Triple Promotions?

Two more from The Floral Hall
The Floral Hall again and another mis-spelling for Andreas!
