I do like this poster Main Mask as a demonstration of what the opposition could do well. It's colourful, attractive and, to me anyway, would appeal to fans. But just who on this bill, other than ardent independent fans, would anyone have known? Killer Ken Davies possibly, but he was usually in a support role. Hamid Ali Gil I watched and enjoyed, but definitely a supporting role. These are the main eventers. This promoter knew how to spare his cash. A golden boy who wasn't the golden boy. A prince who was a scrap meteal merchant. A red Indian from Yorkshire. A Frenchman I don't know but most likely knew his way around Leicestershire. Dave Kaye an honest Yorkshireman. George Burgess, a man we know now, but how many would have known him at this time working for the independents.

Yes, I would happily have paid my ten bob for this and complained at a tanner for the programme.
