Following on from my recent post were there any of the leading lights that never appeared in a tag match
Bomber Bates as The Ghoul.
Pooh to youu Hack. Fast with your Albert Walls but what about my Exorcist and Sean Regan? I'll take the prize now, please, Nessie.
Nice one Bernard. There must have been many old timers who had spent years protecting the integrity of the sport who felt uncomfortable with tag matches, even those who accepted them and took part.
Hi MM, Billy was not the only one who did not like doing Tag matches.
Norman Walsh didn't either.
He said that in some drafty halls you got cold hanging onto the rope.
Anglo Italian:
Here's a winner: Rocky Wall.
Sorry Anglo Italian. And there are quite a few others.
Andy Robin did a 3 man tag on television for Joint. It was England v Scotland and I remember him pinning Barry Douglas from the off.
Most of the wrestlers who retired before the early 1960s because tag was so rare before then
What a fascinating head-scratcher of a question.
I feel sure most loved the tag as they worked half time and had plenty of breathers.
How about The (original) Exorcist?
Or Andy Robin?
Or Sean Regan?
I think The Catweazle did once or twice, so he's a Nearly.
Here's a winner: Rocky Wall.
Hard to be definitive but I suggest Jack Dempsey, Eric Taylor, Ernie Riley.
I Know of Only One! Occasion When BILLY JOYCE Was in a Tag Contest!!
Apparently-it didn't Appeal to him-and he Totally Preferred Solo Combat!!
