Hello Dear Wrestling Friends! What happened to the belts? No more posts about the visual, physical, signs and the true symbols of wrestlers glory THE CHAMPION WRESTLER BELTS...?
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before. The Grantham Journal 1st May 1959 has an article that Peter Gotz, who had won "wrestling's equivalent to the Londsale belt" in 1910, had donated the belt to Joint Promotions.
Yes this lead to a 7-week tournament for the belt in Grantham, won by Al Nicol on 7 November. Tommy Mann was the other finalist.

Here are the current set of All Star British Tag Team Championship belts, replacing the set worn by Mikey "Whiplash" Gilbert and Robbie "Dynamite" Berzins below.:
Dear Friends, NEED HELP with the ORIGINAL LORD MOUNT EVANS BELT (from 1950s) photos. That belt can be seen on images of the following wrestlers: E. Baldwin, G. Basfield, A. Colbeck, J. Breaks. Please share here, if you have them. Thank You.

New belts have continued to be made as and when required:(There are four different Mountevans British championships and one Mountevans World Championship - covering five of the seven Mountevans weight divisions - included in this little lot of photos. See if you can spot them - there are some other non-Mountevans titles also included. Trick - one title has had two different belts in recent years while it and another title have both used the same belt at different times.)

Rumble Promotions Mal Mason memorial British Lightweight champion Nino Bryant along with two non-Mountevans champions All Nations champion Tate Mayfairs and European Champion Sid Manelli.
Good heel. Can even work old school technical when he has to. I could do without the pouty expressions on every Rumble poster tho (not least as kids go to those shows.) Shawn Michaels has a lot for which to answer.
Oh I see that photo from Facebook, a pic of Hussey Benny and THE BELT, I am afraid I cannot post it here because it is their property ONLY THEY CAN if they want to. I was NOT lucky in finding that same photo in newspapers I tried really hard, but failed at that.
I think their family purchased that old wryton belt, owned it and still has it. this is that exactly the same belt, obv put on a new leather background.
