As I haven't really been posting here for too long I'm still learning who's who and who likes what and I think I'm getting an idea now. But just out of curiosity how many of you (if any) are either ex wrestlers or still working as a wrestler now? If not, what do you do workwise and if retired what did you do?

So where are the wrestlers we all used to watch? I know many have passed on now but there's still plenty who are still around and this would be the ideal place for them to reacquaint with each other and tell us fans a tale or two. Be great if there's anyway they could be persuaded to step in, they must be aware of the site through the wrestlers reunion. No?
Please post introductions on the Introduce Yourself thread

We are waiting for you Main Mask. And you Bill. (Bill goes back to the old 1Stop days).
And a few of you know me from the old days and under another name......
" Only one Bernard fortunately ". I read that Anglo.
Keep looking behind you.Trouble is following.
You're right that we have knowledgeable people here but it's not just about knowledge. It's about the memories and keeping the old days alive. Without everyone's contributions there would be no Heritage and the wrestlers of yesterday would be forgotten. Wrestling was an important part of Britain's social fabric and should be preserved.
Fifteen years ago I looked at forums and thought I had nothing to say. Would you believe Bernard said the same thing. It's amazing how just taking part brings it all back. None of us were as knowledgeable a few years ago. We've got there by our collective chiseling away and learning a bit more very slowly. And we've enjoyed ourselves along the way.
That's why it saddens me that so many read the forum and Heritage but don't contribute. Everyone has something to offer. The tiniest, seemingly trivial memory can spark debate.
Sorry Mate, I'm pretty sure I did post as Frank originally. Feel free to move any of my posts anytime no problem at all, And yes, love the forum. Some VERY knowledgeable people on here who have probably forgotten more that I know. Keep up the great work, those wonderful days and great entertainers should never be forgotten.
Thanks Frank. A great introduction and nice to hear you feel at home on our forum. Hope you don't mind but I've moved your introduction to the Introduce Yourself topic.
But you didn't answer the question, did you post as Frank? The reason I ask is that Anglo Italian and myself are totting up points for the next set of Heritage members' awards and if you are Frank you have some points carried over from the old forum.
Yeah, I used to read and post very sporadically but I've only started getting involved properly just recently. I don't usually do social media as I find can be full of bullsh!tters and wannbe hard men who like to play the keyboard warrior not to mention those who are just plain rude for no reason! but on here everyone seems really nice and easy going so I thought I'd join in.
As for me, I'm 57, live in London but moving up to the Midlands in a couple of months. I became interested in wrestling through my good old Dad who was wrestling mad for as long as I can remember! I briefly had a go at becoming a wrestler and used to train at Lee Bronson's place but a troublesome shoulder injury put a swift end to that. I've never had a proper job in my life and would be useless at holding down a 9-5, I've just followed my nose and somehow always managed to land on my feet. I've worked as a jobbing drummer my whole life which meant good money when I was employed and no money when I wasn't but somehow I got lucky and found my way to some great gigs and recording sessions and just about made a fair living but more importantly I enjoyed every minute along the way! and yes, I crossed paths with Lloyd Ryan many times on the music circuit.
My claim to fame in the world of wrestling is probably being the only person on here who's had a 10 min conversation with a stark bolllock naked Mark Rocco ( yes ladies I have seen his Rollerballs...) This happened when me and a friend being young and stupid decided to pretend to be security at the Royal Albert hall so we could get backstage and meet some of the wrestlers, we were 'guarding' the dressing rooms (and even fooled Max Crabtree) and Mark's dressing room was directly opposite. He was a lovely guy, very approachable but the funny thing was we didn't talk about wrestling at all we talked about Manchester (his home town) while he dried and got dressed. My wife still laughs when I tell her about the crazy things I got up to when I was young and reckless. Now I'm just old and stupid but I'm still LOVIN LIFE! I'm healthy, my wife and kids are doing fine and that's all that matters, the rest is just gravy.
I'm like the weather, bright in patches!
Well you did ask …
On one of this forum's predecessors, there was a fellow who was convinced that I was Drew McDonald!
So many Franks, and Rays, and Grahams ... the aliases are much more distinctive to latch onto.
Only one Bernard, fortunately.
leonard.frank1, you're not that new are you? Or are you? Did you previously post as Frank?
Lol! That's clear then! It is interesting to find out peoples backgrounds as it makes the posters seem more real when you can inject some personality into the names. You can banter away at any time it takes a lot before I become offended and thanks for a great welcome! so nice to know there are others who remember those great days as fondly as I do. Nice one!
Best
Bernard.
Sorry posted on wrong thread, but anyway, what did I do to get dragged into this?
I used to be a soot juggler, but I gave it up as everything turned to dust
These two are very cruel Bernard. Take no notice. I've met them both and can tell you they both look like their images.
It's a fair question and we've been there before. So I'm about to bump up an old topic "Introduce Yourself."
You can find out all you want to know and then you can tell us about yourself. Hopefully Main Mask might even join in.
