Working overseas, on this day in history, the excellent Dynamite Kid teamed with Bret Hart, and fought to a no contest draw, against Bad News Allan and the Cuban Assassin, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on this day in 1983.

I recall that on his short visit home, Johnny Eagles also wrestled Colin Joynson for the TV cameras at the time when Joynson was being repackaged as a clean but hard-hitting wrestler.
Yes I know one of Dynamite's visits bouts ended up on TV when he took on Rocco , it didn't last long but was a full blooded affair which WOS weren't used to broadcasting, I though it was shown on the late midweek spot.
I was going to say I thought he was ensconced in the Portland area of the USA by then , so was it maybe a working holiday.
Johnny Eagles stands out on that Manchester programme. I don't think he wrestled in the South on his fleeting return.
Saxonwolf's bill is mildly surprising in that I would have thought McManus would have steered clear of loose cannon Yorkshiremen so soon after his Peter Preston embrrassment. Here he faced a real Cannon. I bet that bout was planned in detal.
