Dazzler Joe Cornelius won the vacant Southern Area Heavyweight championship at the Assembly Hall in Wakthamstow. The title had been declared vacant with the retirement of “The Blackfriars Thunderbolt” Tony Mancelli. Also taking part in the championship tournament were Bruno Elrington, Alan Garfield and Charlie Fisher.
