Great 1952 Aberdeen bill Ron, in the midst of the Bannerman wars. Those two heavyweight matches are mouthwatering. I was surprised to see Bob steele so early, he was still a young one in the 1960s. Tony McDonald? Does anyone know him? Could be Terry McDonald. Things not looking so good by 1973. Nothing of interest there. Or is it just a case of familiarity.
With hindsight Nelson v Maynard sounds a cracker. But I do wonder if these matches with some of the great wrestlers would have excited as so much at the time, or would we just be waiting for the baddies to come on?
Agree, Main Mask, great Great Yarmouth poster and two good quality bills.
Soon I'll post another seaside venue similarly with two bills a week. But Weymouth had slightly lower quality, it seems to me.
