George Hackenschmidt publicly made known his displeasure at a number of wrestlers using his name for their own gain. He said he wanted to make it clear that he had no relatives who were in any way connected with wrestling.
On this day in 1992 my friend and I were heading for the Albert Hall, Bolton, for the second leg of the Rock and Roll Mystery tour, following Kendo and The Rock and Roll Express, having seen them in Plymouth 2 nights earlier after this we were heading to Leeds the next day to see them against Pat Roach and Big John Prayter. I would be interested to know if any other members of Wrestling Heritage were at any of these 3 venues.
No, I wasn't there op54nessie but it sounds like you had a great time. Maybe you have more to tell us about the Rock and Roll Mystery tour, and where it took you.

I'm pleased to see Pete McGowan on this show. He was from Euxton and trained by Alan Wood. He started out in 1970 when Alan was promoting his own shows as C&A Promotions. Jack Beaumonts daughter told us a few years back he was still around and she often bumped into him at the local swimming baths.
And Guido Ronga. A blast from the past.

Re. the Wm. Little bill at Carlisle, I wouldn't have been too pleased to see a bill with Cyril Knowles (Knowles Peters), at the top of it.
Cyril was a well trusted ring man , but never in my mind a top of the bill performer.
Any one else got a different view?
