We start in Leeds with what must have been a gutsy clash between Bill Howes and Bill Rawlings. Campbell and Simonovich sounds pretty appealing too
Moving forward four years to a good night out at Belle Vue. Those were the days when Mike Bennett seemed such a nice young man, and look how he turned out. No wrestling fans ever said Don Vines was a nice young man. In the forum we discussed the rarity of Les Kellett in tag, but we've got one here.
Ten years later, 1977 in Liverpool.
Clearly lots of great bills to celebrate the Annunciation.
I was excited to get this autograph:
The first post mentioned the rarity of tag matches involving Les Kellett.
In the 50's I saw Les 2 or 3 times in tag with his brother Arthur.
Often against Norman Walsh with either Jim Anderson or Ron Johnson.
Results were fairly evenly split.

Powerlock told us his dad saw Carnera and he was "bloody useless." Billy Joyce wouldn't have had any trouble with him.
Looks like he was aiming High
Wonder how Billy Joyce went on.
On the Liverpool 1977 bill, who would have been The Godfather?
On the Liverpool 1977 bill, who would have been The Godfather?
Logan clearly worked 9 nites a week. Unbelievable. All over the place. And, unlike McManus, his job was to wrestle any Johnny Foreigner going; while McManus stuck to Kwango, Colbeck, impressionable yougsters like Fortuna, Kinky and Gaston .... and Pallo. Logan's job was much more challenging in that respect.
Above, Logan faces Kidd and his Foreigner is replaced by a Steve Taylor (all these vagues Taylors do my head in).
No Al, I didn't sit next to you. Nobody ever wanted to sit next to me, I don't know why? Except Mrs Kwango, who appreciated my worth.

NINE photos and a poster compiled with care. Bruno and the Prince appeals; but with fortnightly bills, not sure how captivating the rest would have been to Croydon fans, seems a bit samey:
