It's no wonder the Torquay bill is the one to get us talking. A great bill and a classical styled poster. Dale Martin capitalising on regional rivalries with two matches advertised as North v South. We've noticed before posters from the 1950s with matches between wrestlers from different areas yet in the late 60s and 70s too often found a couple of northerners going south and vice versa only to wrestle each other, a very cosy affair.
McManus would be duty bound to say Logan was his best pal.
That Torquay bill, for the Pallo vs O'Brien match, it really stands out for me that they used the phrase, "ultra special"?, when I was a kid growing up in the 60's, the phrase generally used would have been "extra special", not sure why this jumped out at me, looking at that poster, but it did.

Great Torquay bill there, Main Mask will approve of the fonts.
Loving care and detail.
Pallo and McManus shared so many bills together, a shame they were never buddies. But then again, did McManus have buddies? Or only chauffeurs ....?
