Nice one Tom. Wonder if you can help. In the 1940s was promoter Frank C Price. I'm guessing this was a different Frank Price from the one you watched wrestle in the 1960s. Not impossible but The Ost posted a photo and he looked young. So, do you know if your 1960s promoter was the younger Frank, and do you know if they were related?
It was wins for Great Bula and Roy La-rue while Joe Murphy had flue and promoter Frank Price stepped in and beat Bill Tunney.
Wrestling overseas on this day, the great, Adrian Street Esq., was disqualified in a match against Jerry "The King" Lawler, in Memphis, Tennessee, USA, on this day in 1984.

Wee, here's what happened. I found a British light heavyweight title defence at Lime Grove with champion Eric Taylor defending the belt against Ernie Riley. Now I'd always associated Riley as a long standing holder of the light heavyweight title and Taylor as long standing holder of the Heavy Middleweight belt. So I was going to investigate further and forgot all about it. It seems that one month earlier at Lime Grove Taylor beat Riley for the light heavyweight title on a televised show from Lime Grove. On this day, 29th December, normal service was resumed and Riley took the title back. Between times they also met in a title match at Chesterfield on 4th December.
And on our TV screens, from this day, back in 1962
