On this day in 1933 Bradford wrestler Mitchell Gill, using the name Pat Delaney, made his professional boxing debut against Hampstead’s Archie Norman, at the Royal Albert Hall. Gill, who had been trained by Larry Gains, won the contest when the referee stopped the match in the third round.
I know I missed this 1974 Belle Vue show which seems a shame , can't remember why. Would have loved to have seen Gordienko in 63 and who did they get for Dr Death.
A couple from Newcastle years apart and nothing stands out for me on the Nottingham show.
