I love Ron's contribution from Preston. Every one was a winner with those descriptions, "The Human Whirlwind," "Prefers a fight to having his dinner," "The Terror of the Midlands," "A record a mile long," and "An earthquke will be quite mild in comparison." All that and a title match.
The Outlaw was on Joint bills all through 1968, including the RAH v Starck in February and tv in February and March. Surely Gordon Nelson in such high profile matches? He's busy until October and only a few though in November and December.
Interesting though is that Gordon Nelson has results in Japan from June 1968 and USA from September. So that means Joint were using a second Outlaw (Carl Dane) at least from mid 1968.
It's another two-for-the-price-of-one, with our lads wrestling overseas today, as Colin Joynson took on, and beat, Roy St. Clair in Leverkusen, Germany, on this day in 1975.

Who could resist spending half a crown?
Wrestling overseas today, Dewsbury lad, Harry Fields took on Gilbert LeDuc in Paris, France, on this day in 1950.

Ernie Riley defended his British light heavyweight championship against Arthur Ricardo in Leicester
Interesting.

Hi MM
We saw The Outlaw against Danny Lynch at the Palais in April 1968 always assumed it was Gordon Nelson but can't be 100% sure?
