I saw Mc.Manus versus Masambula twice; once as a singles at The Wirrina Stadium, Peterborough, and once as a tag (Mc.Manus partnered by Logan and Masambula by Kellett). The Peterborough match went four cats with a stooped Masambula competing for most of the contest in an attempt to defray the difference in heights. The tag match was a huge disappointment. It had hardly started before Mc.Manus and Logan were disqualified. This was part of a four team K.O. tournament at The Nottingham Ice Rink with victors Kellett and Masambula both meeting and beating The Royal Brothers (who had previously defeated The Pallos) in the final.
The death of Ghalib Khan in 2004. He was a muscular giant of a man with an imposing presence.
Ghalib (sometimes The Great) Khan combined his 1960s wrestling career with that of a butcher in Pearson Street, Bradford. He stood 6'5" tall, weighed around 19 stones and was immensely strong.
Here's one that's almost a corker, but on closer scrutiny, either of the heavyweights would have made for a better bout with War Eagle; and Kung Fu selling Catweazle's "funny antics" ... I don't think so.
Interesting for an early Hayystacks appearance in JP rings. They hadn't realised his bill-topping potential:
I never saw Catweazle versus Kung Fu so cannot comment but I do recall seeing Jack Atherton promote Bill Torontos versus Kung Fu at The Queen's Baths, Derby, and it did not sit well. Whilst I'm at it, I saw Kung Fu versus "Romeo" Joe Critchley on an Orig Williams show at The Town Hall, Rhyl, but it was a year or so before "Kung Fu" was created and it was actually Eddie Hamil versus Joe Critchley. I recall much mirth being occasioned.
Unless someone can prove otherwise, I don't think "Kung Fu", either Hamil or Miquet, ever faced Critchley, Pedro or Kellett.

You certainly are. Unless the time difference to Italy has altered alarmingly.
