These days when we are all clever clogs and look back we have been dismissive of Logan v Kellett because it was an often repeated bout. I remember the anticipation I had (about the time of your match SaxonWolf) when i saw this match advertised at Southport. I went along, can't remember much but I wasn't disappointed, but do remember being surprised it was the opening match of the show.
Working overseas on this day, Terry Rudge beat Mustafa Shikane in Cologne, Germany, on this day in in 1971.
