A great and well loved wrestler and promoter in Scotland and organiser of the annual Scottish Reunion that takes place this month in Ayr. Very best wishes Dale.
By 1915 Wrestling had entered a Dark Age. The first ten years of the Century saw some glorious contests at places like the Alhambra promoted by William Bankier. It lost some interest and the great war added to that. A few like Relwyskow and Gotz and Johanfesson continued it in the Music Halls.
Quite a few of our lads are involved here in the "Catch World Cup", in Germany, in 1973.
Jack Cameron would be Jock Cameron (?), Johnny Kincaid and John Kowalski are billed from the USA, Terry O'Neil is billed from Australia, Pat Roach and Billy Yukon from Canada, looks like only Pete Roberts is billed from England!
Wrestling overseas, on this day Alan Dennison beat Gilbert Pouydebat in Paris, France, on this day in 1962, and Tommy Mann defeated Celso Sotelo, in Murcia, Spain, on this day in 1956.
On our TV screens, on this day in 1967: -

Johnny Eagles (Manchester) v. Mick McMichael (Doncaster)
