Here's an absolute corker! The cost of the talent here:
Seven bouts to rival and albert Hall show.
Meanwhile back at the other end of the spectrum in Dale Martin land, Tug and the Eagle go through their motions, and tag partners clash!
It's a rare one in the respect that Street claims top of the bill status, just before leaving Dale Martin. To paraphrase Main Mask: Anglo Italian toes poster into place on tiled floor.
Wrestling overseas today, Wild Angus (as Black Angus) and Earl Black (as Blackjack Black), defeated Rufus. R. Jones and Tony Martin, in St. Joseph, Missouri, USA, on this day in 1972.
Yes the Brighton bill is interesting. It's 1968, Angus was still working for the independents in January 1967. He moved across later in the year but didn't do a lot in the south. From 1968 he started working more for Dale Martin but still not frequently.
Presumably Dale Martin are behind this bill but it is an unusual one for them. Not just Osborn lowly placed as Anglo Italian says but Eagles, Angus, Cox, St CLair and Haggetty all travelling south. Although they all often travelled fairly regularly to work for Dales it's odd to not just get them all on the same bill but with regular Dale Martin opposition.
I like Ron's Kelvin bill. For all the stuff written about Dempsey as a hard wrestler he must have been a good pro to let Kidd get away with his usual performance.
The more I look on this site, the more often I see Alf Rawlings v Rex Gable.
After I saw Rawlings beating Gable up for about 8 rounds in Newcastle, Les Kellett stopped the fight and said something like " No man can take this punishment".
Now it looks like it was a series.
Does anyone have any results of these bouts please ?

Great six-bout bill there in Brighton, 1967 or 68.
What on earth was Jim Osborn doing in a support bout? He was undefeated on his UK tour.
Angus wasn't on many Dale Martin bills in the sixties, was he, Hack?
