Wrestling overseas today, The Dynamite Kid beat Louis Laurence, in Great Falls, Montana, USA, on this day in 1978. Also wrestling overseas, Jack Dale defeated Rene Ben Chemoul, in Paris, on this day in 1952.
Great find there, Ron. Historic 5-bouter at the far flung venue in winter. All those Names. Would a bill like that have been advertised in Liverpool to attract people from further afield?
Back to 1972 and Naggers. Great book where he did not quite tell all.
He mentions Kellett having a go and Howes , but never owned up to the many times he must have got hurt. Then there were the stories that he actually lost a few bouts early in his career , maybe John Cox , Billy Robbo etc. We never really found out anything concrete. But I always say , "Where there is one there is more"
And he sure as hell lost this one and of course the news never travelled home.
He held the North American Title for 3 months and Stu Hart was taking it back to put on Portz. And yes , it seems to be a clean loss.

On our TV screens, on this day in 1965:-
Terry Downs (W) v Alan Woods
Syed Saif Shah (W) v Roy Bull Davis
Here's a corker, I love the thought of Yearsley v Kaiser:
