09 January 1931
All in wrestling came to Sheffield. At the Sheffield Sporting Club Johanfesson defeated three challengers with ease; Len Kertz, George Bowden and Kid Johnson. The reporter from the Sheffield thought that wrestling would prove too brutal for English tastes.
On this day, in 1980, our own Dynamite Kid was in triple tag action in Japan, alongside Stan Hansen and Bad News Allen, taking on Japanese legend Antonio Inoki, with Tatsumi Fujinami and Kantaro Hoshino, the local lads won.
