I find Kendo Nagasaki against The Wild Man of Borneo in Liverpool in August 1966.
And Alan Garfield in with George Kidd in July 1956.
And my photo of Jean Ferre v Tibor Szakacs makes it look a one-sided affair. Tibor was duly ko'd:
Can you add any such odd bouts?
Pallo v Portz is barmy says Ron. But in 1970 wouldn't we have paid our ten bob to see Pallo get his come uppance?I would. And that's what mattered to Norman Morrell.
As for Gargantua disclaiming his seven feet. Maybe he wanted to be seven foot six?
Clever way to promote a lie, almost honestly: Gargantua "disclaims" his seven feet. Got to love it!
Pallo v Portz....Barmy

Many many years ago, before many many were born, in the days of 405 lines black & white tv there was an interesting bout booked at Wembley. Billy Torontos v John da Silva. They did change Billy's opponent on the night. They brought in somebody more his size. Don't remember if he won. Am sure Billy v ohn would have been value for money
One evening that really bugged me was the night at The Royal Albert Hall when Mike Marino booked himself in two matches on the same night; against Mick McManus and then Big Daddy. He won each match, two falls to one.
Not very creative scorelines and he was clearly the only one who thought he had the charisma realistically to be defeating the two biggest names of the day.
Probably allowing himself a double paypacket, too.
That's interesting, Matey Dave.
Southern star going over at Wembley - well, he would remain after Ferre's departure. Normal procedure.
But Tibor used as cannon fodder by northern promoters - my photo's in Scotland.
Like Naylor struggling to go over for DMs.
Such politics.
Love it when you are on topic, Dave, you have great memories and contributions.
Matey Dave says When Tibor took on Jean Ferre at Wembley he won 2-1.
Jean Ferre's first tv appearance was against 10 stone Le Petit Prince.
But Riley v Myers was a brilliant catchweight bout, in my opinion.
Two I can think of were welterweight Danny Collins vs mid-heavyweight Dave Finley (tv show) and welterweight Clive Myers vs heavyweight Baz Riley (also tv).
The only time I saw Curtis Iaukes he was in with Leon Arras, which was as ridiculous as it sounds.
Also Logan v Gargantua.
Kendo (and George) fighting anyone , but in particular Logan and McManus. Kendo had the kneel while they forearm smashed him and the forearms were so unconvincing as well.
There are reports of George Kidd versus both Jim Hussey and Roy Bull Davies. I understand the matches were first to five falls, Kidd getting a three fall start.
The biggest mismatch I saw on TV was Steve Logan versus Mal Kirk, who injured Logan with a sickening bear-hug. You could see the look of concern on Kirk’s face as Logan lay writhing on the floor.
Colin Joynson v Jackie Pallo sounds a bit of a mis-match
