The fourth most televised wrestler!
In fairness, these cleancut technicians were essential to let the brighter lights shine: McMichael, Fortuna, Kirkwood, Bronson, Nicol.
Annoying about McMichael is that we don't know the circumstances of how he came about this ring name. Let's face it: he looks very much like McManus less twenty years.

I Think your 2ND ?- Hits The Mark here ANGLO!- For Me The Epithet 'Popular' is Subliminal!-It is 'Suggesting' That EVERYBODY Loves MCMICHAEL and Enjoys His Performances!!-So Don't you be The 'Odd One Out'-Get yourself down there to See him!!
Thing is, I don't recall anyone loving Mick McMichael. He was okay. Just like lots of others were okay.
The POPULAR Mick McMichael manges still to grate 45 years later.
Just what is it that makes it so very annoying?
Is the promoter condescendingly explaining it's not McManus?
Is the promoter condescendingly trying to control our throughts?
Is the promoter so devoid of any useful, even invented description of McMichael, even when the photo of his giant cup is available?
Uncomfortably condescending however you look at it, I wonder how the wrestlers felt? Well, he scarpered to Germany, enough said.
Big bill for a little hall
Working overseas today, Marty Jones and Steve Wright beat Josef Molnar and Dave Morgan, in Cologne, Germany, on this day in 1974.
On our TV screens, on this day in 1964: -
Steve Logan/Mick McManus (W) v Monty Swann/Alan Miquet
Pedro Wiracoqha (W) v Seamus Donlevy
Stefan Milla vs Peter Szakacs (W)
Peter Rann v Kalman Gaston
Contrasting bills that again show the deterioration in standards. Nagasaki and Crabtree would be attractive and credible at the time. Welcome visitors to Leamington for Kirkwood and Dodgers. Surely Chris Bailey? A balanced credible programme.
A few years later Saint v Penzie of passable interest. But the rest? Is there anything of interest? I wonder how Mick McMichael felt about knowing the best thing to be said for him was that we didn't hate him?
