Time for the 1ST Newsletter of JUNE-and Our Poster is for BUXTON PAVILION!-But the Only Seldom seen
Bout is MICK MCMANUS versus TED HEATH!
The Other 2 Main Contests are Well-Rehearsed fairly 'Regular' Affairs with Predictable Outcomes!!
However the Match Featuring the Excellent ALAN WOOD would have been a 'Treat'!!
MAIN MASK
Heath v McManus is, for me, a cracker --- and the thought of a Peter Preston scenario at that pre-decimal time.
Fifteen bob would have been very expensive at Buxton at that time, would it not?
Main Mask talks sense.
I'm a bit surprised to see Kellett-Logan billed above any McManus bout in the second half of the 1960s, but though frequently repeated the Logan-Kellett match would be a good draw. Riss and Wood were two great wrestlers - this could have been fantastic or could have been tediously dull. Royals-Diamonds looks stale now, but at the time I reckon most of us would have happily handed over our money.
