MAIN MASK
I remember that Cup Final show vividly.
Nagasaki's opening ritual was considered too violent so we joined the bout in Round Two.
Talk about jobs for the boys on the Big Day. Ugh!
Wrestling overseas today, Les Thornton defeated Gil Hayes, in Edmonton, Canada, on this day in 1971.
On our TV screens, on this day in 1971:-
Kendo Nagasaki (1) v Wayne Bridges (0)
Steve Veidor (1) v Mike Marino (1)
Mick McManus/Steve Logan (W) v Johnny Kincaid/Johnny Kwango
Thanks Tom. A good bill but a guinea ringside seems a bit steep to me.
I wonder, in halls where there were regularly five bouts did the show still finish around 9.45 - 10.00?
On the rare occasions we had five matches the show was no longer than when we had four.
Nice one Main Mask.
First time I've heard of kola Klito.
I know of Robert Cook, but never as a heavyweight.
