I never ever saw Mike Marino vs Count Bartelli. Also, never saw Adrian Street vs Vic Faulkner in a singles bout. However, plenty of times in tag matches.Your opinions please.
Mike Bennett was one of the top class heels, I’m sure that he had some fine clashes with Jim Breaks over the years. If I had to pick a winner, it would be Marvellous Mike Bennet, with his sit on back breaker submission hold.
I will go with my unsung hero Harry Duval in with either Billy Joyce or Billy Robinson.
By the way, I did see Kumali and Campbell. It was a bit of a ponderous match. The most memorable bit was the rambling speech from Campbell at the end of the match in days when wrestlers didn't speak.
I can recall two Marino/Ginsberg encounters on the small screen; one where Ginsberg plays his usual villainous role and the other where he trades holds scientifically throughout. My memory is poor but I think the latter was a Relwyskow and Green show where they did six cats.
Ed Lock may have to put me right but I seem to remember Lurich was an actual promoter. He and Clark introduced Riot tactics such as brawling in the gangway and the Police breaking it up , I think maybe blood as well. They had a whole series of matches and Clark dropped his Commonwealth title , probably for some of the best money he ever made. He was 44 years old in the footage.
Finally Clark allowed himself to be beaten at home several times to Jack Sherry who was Oakeley's man.
Oakeley would have seen it as his ultimate revenge as Clark had been the man of the 1930's.
But Clark did it for the money.
Clarks pupil was Mitchell Gill who Clark rated as an addonis. He also fought in Australia as Mike McGill.
Where as Clark was five nine and a half ( a big man in 1930's) Gill was six feet. Gill also is on film fighting Lurich and was well ready to do so.

Hi Peter, i think Bennett won at least 1 or more of his matches at Newcastle. Sorry can not be alittle bit more precise.
Regards, Ian
Bennet V Breaks met at least twice at Newcastle mid. 1960s.
Regards to all, Ian.
Marvellous Mike Bennet, versus Jimmy Breaks. What a pairing, creating tremendous heat for the punters.

Mike Marino v Abe Ginsburg. I don’t think their paths ever crossed.
Catweazle Vs Black Jack Mulligan
Terry Rudge Vs Mal Kirk.
Bert Royal versus Mike Flash Jordan. A real good match for the purists.
ADRIAN STREET was a Great Wrestler-How many others used the Inside Leg Hank
executed to perfection so often for example??!!
His rise to the Top was a lot harder than BOBBY'S-He literally had to Work his way up
starting with PAUL LINCOLN-BARNES had it a bit easier with the 'Breaks'!
Two Classic HELL'S ANGELS vs. ROYALS Bouts stand out in my Memory-an absolute
CRACKER of a Match at PARR HALL WARRINGTON ending in a 1-1 Draw-really Top
Quality Wrestling with-for once between these four-some great Technical Stuff and a much
more 'Explosive' Encounter at KING GEORGES HALL BLACKBURN which was won 2-1
by the FAULKNERS!!-They 'cheated'!!

Hi ROMEO-One of the Best Bouts between ADRIAN STREET and VIC FAULKNER
was for the BRITISH WELTERWEIGHT TITLE-which VIC eventually Won 2-1!
I wanted STREET to Win it being a real HELL'S ANGELS Fan-followed them around
the Halls a lot!!
