Thanks Ron and Main Mask. Not much was spent on travelling expenses in those shows. The Heanor bill was may have been promoted by Ronto. He did promote at Heanor for a few years, though Jack Taylor lived in the town and for many years ran the Health and Strength club. Jack and Ron seemed to have a close working relationship, though I don't understand how. The only thing that makes me wonder if this was a Taylor show rather than Ronto is that he had been ill and he died 6 weeks later. With only Cassidy (Manchester) and Dabrowski (Coventry) from outside the area the Dr Death must surely have been local.
A programme of those who went onto greater things. Wallace J Odie became Vince Apollo then Tubby Hodgson. Leno Larazzi became Bob Abbott. Both were masked Undertakers. John Howard became Jon LaPaque and Leo became Peter. Ken Davies a well known villain on the independents. Jack Taylor always made sure he was a champion and Harry Yardley a good experienced wrestler.
Sixty years anniversary today of the death of Ronto the Bull

Great write up and here is a bit of extra colour.
