Interesting to note that Walton makes the claim that he "spoke not a word of English "yet in fact as well as Italian and Flemish he spoke reasonable English and French!
I think that Salvatore Bellomo maybe had a third World of Sport appearance in January 1987 when the first ever WWF show was on ITV. A wrestler called Salvatore Bellomo was pinned very quickly by Kamala the Ugandan Giant. I don't know if this was the same wrestler, as I did not see the one who was in this country in the early seventies.
Yes he used several different names throughout his career but had two World of Sport appearances over 46 years ago at the beginning of 1973 including a win over Ivan Penzecoff
I last met him promoting a show in Ostend in 2012.
He appeared at the wrestlers reunion four years ago in 2015 it would have been interesting to know what he thought of that commentary

I think he's in the A-Z under his UK name of Tino Salvatore if it's the same man.
But he is one of our boys. Starring role in Wrestling Leads the Way when UK entered the Common Market. Brexit done for him. RIP
Thanks Peter. I had to Google him. Only 67, too young.
R.I.P. Salvatore.
