"World of Sport Vetran"Scrubber Daly was in a tag match this past weekend at Rileys Bar in Wolves. Left most of the action to his partner but surely must be one of the last from this era still wrestling
Oh my Lord. My real name is Howard. I was trained by Dick Harrison and Dale Broughton. On the 15th May 1993, I turned up to a show in Boston and they put me on with you! You beat me quite quickly, then Dale came in and had an impromptu match with you. The other wrestlers present were Axel Strong, Bill Clarke, Pete Lapaque, Gunner Johnson and Steve Sadler. We then went to the vicarage in Stretton-on-Dunsmore a week or so later. It would be great to go again after thirty years! Please give me a shout. If you're blue eye in Wolverhampton, I'll burst in as the villain.
There are matches on youtube, one in particular is Scrubber againsts Kid McHoy where her executes the highest back drop i have ever seen. He did seem to be billed against lighter opponents a lot.
I never saw him win,all I can remember of him is being bounced off Big Daddys fat belly, falling on the floor and being flobbed on by the Big Fella.I hope he is keeping well.
I have watched one of Mac's recent tag matches on YouTube. Perhaps, Peter, you would be able to pitch a rematch on F***book? It would be something to look forward to for when this virus has cleared off. Imagine; 27 years in the making - Scrubber Daly Vs Sapper James.
Oh my Lord. I would love to get back in the ring with Scrubber after he annihilated me in Boston all those years ago. Seriously, I would be up for a re-match if he is still active.
He got a mention at a PWL event in Ashmore Park at the weekend but did not appear. May have retired at last
Thanks Peter. Good to see the Lord still getting a mention. I wonder how many in the audience knew of his significance.
Still quite big His match was described as Lord Mountevans rules.Dean Allmark of All Star fame was also on the bill in a thirty minute match
Last time I saw Scrubber, about ten years ago, he'd lost a lot of weight. How's he looking these days?
In action again this evening at the historic Darlaston Town Hall. Can still ignite a packed crowd despite his advanced years
Thanks Peter
Centre Spot Sports Bar in Broad St close to the station
Where was this show Peter?
I'll go to Wolverhampton for my rematch if Mac is up for it.
Scrubber Daly was back in Wolves this weekend .Did not do a great deal but was in versus Danny Valentine a very impressive up and comer
He was often pitted against the dreaded Crabtree who was heavy if nothing else

He's lost a lot of weight and had knee replacements, but from what i saw he can still move and still uses the off the rope splash.
Was in Nuneaton last weekend
He's not on this weekend but I'm sure he will be on a show during February
That's good to hear. I don't go on F***b**k but I could try and get to a PWL show.
Yes Scrubber or Mac is still pretty active working on Matt Powells PWL shows here in the West Midlands
