Seconds to me were men in a corner in charge of a bucket. I never gave a thoiught to them. I don't recall seeing seconds advertised as in this Chunky Hayes advert below., even tells uswhere they were from. Does anyone recall any seconds at their hall, or know any that were known by name.
A friend of mine volunteered as a second at one of Gerry Hoggarth's 1960's shows at Kirkland, Garstang, but received an accidental back elbow for his efforts.
