Did anyone here ever attend? Any good?. Ive heard some pretty high profile faces turned up like Rod Stewart, Tommy Steele etc people you've actuallt heard of instead of the talentless bimbos and morons who pass as celebrities nowdays because they once walked passed a bloke on the street who knew a woman who lived next door to someone who thought he might have seen the man from accross the road who once knew a lady who was the sister of another woman who's husband knew a man who knew a man who said hello to a bloke who knew a bloke from the telly who's name he can't quite remember

He is indeed Ron. But why is the kid behind them doing an impression of a gorilla???
Gosh the policeman is a ringer for Jack Warner (Dixon of Doc Green)
Thanks Phil, Cheers Hack. Good ole Tommy, still going strong to this day playing Scrooge in some theatre somwhere I believe.
Never fails to amaze me how you guys find these old pictures and wrestling bills.
Hi there,
This could have been something for the "Anything other than Wrestling" topic, but maybe still interesting for some of the older members!
Leonard.frank 1 mentioned in his post Tommy Steele. Well, here is a photo showing him playing in a match for a showbiz team against Burnley FC in Accrington in 1962. A match that I saw myself as a 19-year-old.
By the way he was a good footballer.
Cheers
I saw the wrestlers v Coronation Street on the Leyland Motors football field. They were all well known wrestlers but the only ones I definitely remember are Jim Hussey and Bert Royal. Not a lot of football involved but a lot of fun. One of only three football matches I've been to.
