We had a query about Steve Speed not being in the A-Z. He was 1980s, but after my time. I knew the name and had a feeling we might have him in the A-Z under another name. But if we have we've failed to cross reference him.

I think he as billed as "The Gloucester Gladiator" and trained with the Collins brothers. Small lad with a bodybuilder physique, came unstuck in a battle of strength against Alan Dennison in a televised bout.

Looks like that was his real name. Seems to have retired age 27 in 1989 due to back injury.
