For me because I loved watching flamboyant charismatic wrestlers I would have to choose '' Dazzler Joe Cornellius'' . What a great talent years ahead of his time.
Despite all the things I have read and am aware about with the "Big Daddy circus", as it has been described on here, I would love to have seen him, just because....
Slightly digressing but based on the posts above......
I saw the Pat Barratt v Joe Cornelius fight at Watford in 1967 (I lived with my parents then in nearby Borehamwood, before moving to West Wickham when I became a regular at the Fairfield Halls, Croydon). In view of the comments about him I do feel privileged to have seen Joe right at the end of his career.
The mention of Clayton Thomson also reminded me of two bouts he had at the Fairfield Halls against Mick McManus. In the first one Mick was at his evil best (or worst??) and took advantage of a knee injury (I think) to win with two submissions.
That led to a staged in ring challenge for the title Clayton held at the time (not sure what it was) and a return match which sold out every seat at the Halls, even the rear stalls which were rarely opened for wrestling nights. About 1300 there to see the return when MM was disqualified, thus not taking the title, but having guaranteed a sell out crowd!
I also had the privilege of seeing George Kidd at the Royal Albert Hall on a couple of occasions but I cannot now remember the opponents.
Sorry just realised the question is for British Wrestlers only! DOH! So unless we're classing Canadians as part of the Common Wealth, then it'll have to be Clay Thomson.LOL
I've been told that Billy Joyce in his hayday was a sight to behold. I saw him right at the end of his career on four occasions on Morrell and Beresford cards at The King's Hall, Belle Vue. I saw him in singles bouts against Billy Howes, Bob Kirkwood and Honey Boy Zimba. The fourth bout was a bit of a mess as I recall. it was part of a team night and pitted Joyce and partner Albert "Rocky" Wall against Wayne Bridges and Masambula. All four men were in the ring at the same time, it wasn't fought under tag rules, and even referee Joe Hill didn't really seem to know what was going on.
Has to be Assirati for me, based on what I know. But my dad's favourite had been Dominic Pye and he used to talk nostalgically about him crawling to the ropes. This aroused my own curiosity.
I did see Jack Pye (and Dominic, Bernard!). But as I've said before he was a pale imitation of his former self and I'd have been better not seeing him.
I stand corrected. Frankie Chic Cullen, is of course a Scotsman and one of the all time greats for sure. So my revised choice is the great Billy Robinson.
Hiya Hack.I had an enormous list too.Assirati,Pye,Riley,Rann,Bob Sherry,Cornellius and the list was never ending but ''Dazzler Joe'' just stood out for me.Happy New Year to everybody.
Well I was always happy with my Coverdale Ghoul until Bernard came along, so I'd like to see the Bomber Bates Ghoul. But there are others. Which ONE? Romeo gets tough.

Kind regards. Peter
Probably Atholl Oakeley just because his book Blue Blood on the mat was the first wrestling book I read
It would be either Dia Sullivan or Roy Bull Davis but since I had seen Sullivan on TV it would have to be Davis.
George Kidd
I'm going to be greedy and say 2 lol.
George Gordienko
Clayton Thomson.

Jack Pye
Just a Glimpse of Jack Pye.
Jack Pye for me too
For me it has to be Jack Pye.
George Kidd
I've said this a few times on here, when this subject comes up.
For me, it has to be Dominic Pye.
I've heard so much about him, but never seen him live nor any footage on video.
Frankie Chic Cullen. I would have liked to see him wrestle live. Always good, and one of my favourites.
Hiya Hack.I had an enormous list too.Assirati,Pye,Riley,Rann,Bob Sherry,Cornellius and the list was never ending but ''Dazzler Joe'' just stood out for me.Happy New Year to everybody.
Fortunately I have seen footage of Assirati , Pye , Doug Clark , Butcher Johnson and many more so I am choosing from ones that I have never seen.
Like Hack , it has to be The Bomber Bates Ghoul , but also a chance to see exactly how good Billy Riley and Harold Angus were.
Well I was always happy with my Coverdale Ghoul until Bernard came along, so I'd like to see the Bomber Bates Ghoul. But there are others. Which ONE? Romeo gets tough.
probably Jack Pye, I always liked the heels.
Dynamite Kid. That was a big miss for me.
