I saw Tibor many times. particularly at The King's Hall, Belle Vue (Bruno Elrington, Sean Regan, Pete Roberts, Gwynn Davies etc) but I saw Peter Szakacs only thrice, the first time being at Belle Vue where he tagged with Kalmon Gaston against Mick Mc.Manus and Steve Logan (I recall it well as it was the first of many visits to this hall). I also saw Jack Atherton promote an evenly matched affair between Peter and Leon Fortuna at The Queen's Baths, Derby. The most interesting although relatively brief encounter involving the lighter Szakacs was again at Belle Vue where Morrell and Beresford put him in the opening bout against Mark Rocco. An interesting clash between one wrestler nearing retirement and another on the up and up. It was relatively short-lived as Szakacs fell badly catching and injuring his neck on the bottom rope causing the match to be stopped in Rocco's favour.
Nothing to do with wrestling, but I do recall Mr.X the masked singer. I believe it turned out to be Josef Locke who was trying to evade income tax.
Looking at the venue and date Mr X was most likely a maskless Ed Wensor

Does anyone know who Mister X was on the Saturday 20th of March was ?
New video from John Lister on Youtube with Tibor v Gargantua.
I was always fascinated with Gargantua having seen him in the flesh , but same as his bout with Marino on youtube , he does not impress me here.
Why just going through the motions with a limited style. I have seen him portray a monster much better than this.
Having to pretend he was afraid of Tibor's chop was ridiculous
Quite a collection Main Mask, thanks for those. I talked to Peter quite a few years back and he seemed such a gentle, modest man.
