Just returned from an Autumn break in Tenby. It is one of the very last seaside places to have regular events at a convenient town centre location advertised with posters. All Star seem to have given up on Rhyl and CSF have occasional events technically in Weston super Mare but so far from the seafront that very few holiday makers would ever be likely to attend.

First Class Wrestling with James Mason achieved a sizeable crowd in Rhyl with Brian Dixons daughter as ring announcer last Tuesday. No doubt helped by a typical Rhyl August evening damp, dark and dismal.
Britannia Wrestling Promotions in Benllech on Anglesey Saturday 17th August.
Rothesay Pavilion was an architecturally stunning building. I was looking forward to visiting when I went to Bute in 2019.
It was in a terrible state of disrepair and despite promises and long missed deadlines was in no better state when I returned last year.
I couldn't see the place surviving but it seems restoration work is now underway.

I wrestled at many holiday venues for various promotersincluding Butlins camps. Favourites were Rothesay on the Isle of Bute (west Scotland), Blackpool (various venues) Rhyl (Orig Williams) least favourite was a venue in Cornwall for Jack Atherton - there and back from Manchester on same day!🙂 Eddie Rose.
When we went on our family holiday in the 70s, the first thing I used to do was look out for a wrestling poster. Bournemouth Winter Gardens used to be a good venue. Now it's a car park. As that great wit Tony Blackburn says "that's so wrong on many levels."
I remember the open air venues in Great Yarmouth the Marina and Wellington Pier, seeing the likes of Kendo, Les Kellett Mr Yasu Fuji. The Hippodrome in Yarmouth with The Wild man of Borneo. In Mablethorpe seeing someone called The Praying Mantis against Brian Tiny Carr
KAPOW have a show on September 1 at the Brighton Open Air Theatre.
First Class Wrestling in conjunction with All Star Promotions are running weekly shows at Rhyl Town Hall this summer (2024). The shows are running every Tuesday evening over 6 weeks . I attended the 3rd show on Tuesday. James Mason was involved (wrestling and helping run the show) as was Danny Collins (working backstage). Apparently Tony St Clair was present the previous week.
This summer 2024 Lion Promotions have twice weekly events in that once stalwart seaside resort Skegness. The events are in Ingoldmells and Chapel St Leonards both within the Greater Skegness area
Never thought they would finish in Rhyl. I spotted this two years ago.
It will have been a difficult year for putting on shows but good to hear Tenby is still going. I was there four years ago and there was a season of shows then too,
Wrestling returned to Worthing tonight
