One of the Greatest British Wrestlers ever was DOUGLAS CLARK!
This Super-Strong Heavyweight had a very Impressive Record in Professional-
Cumberland/Westmorland Styles and went Unbeaten for many Years!!
This Coal Merchant by Profession was accustomed to carrying hundred weight bags
of coal around under each arm and an Urban Myth claimed that DOUGLAS broke the
neck of a BULL!! that cornered him a field!!
CLARK became Holder of one of the first Recognised World Heavyweight Championship
Belts with a K.O Win over BELGIAN LAURENT GERSTMANS in 1933!!
He also probably holds the Record for the quickest ever Championship Win Pinning
JOHANFESSON-a Legend in his own Lunchtime- TWICE!! in 73 Seconds!!
It was a Case for great sadness when DOUGLAS CLARK passed away well before
his time 1/2/1951 aged just 59!!
He was a Hugely Respected Wrestler and Fantastic Ambassador for the Sport!!
