For a bit of fun imagine we could transport ourselves back.Which would be your chosen wrestling era to landi in?I It may not be any of these,it could be a previous one.I would probably choose 1965-1975.Quite a few Pallo/McManus bouts.Bartelli still masked,Kendo becoming a top draw. Kellett/Logan and Kellett/Rann bouts.Street becoming a big draw.Starr and Two Rivers packing the halls and much more that I've forgotten about.Which was your favourite era?

I wished to know more about 1945-55. This era as it appears to me is the most interesting to research from the historical point of view.
1955-1965 was a link decade because there were still some of the original All in Wrestlers of the 1930s active but also the early years of some wrestlers who continued until the 1980s/1990s.Mike Bennett. Jon Cortez, Bobby Barnes Peter Stewart.Mick McMichael and in the case of Johnny Saint until 2020!
For me The Seventies, ( Before the Daddy circus kicked in) purely because that’s when I used to go and watch it. The sixties sounds like a great era but I guess I was born too late to get to see that. Guaranteed if I born ten years earlier I’d be saying different. We all think our era was the best in all departments . was it? Or were we just young and in our prime?
I would also go for 1955-65.
Having seen most ot the preceding period, it wold be nice to see the development of the younger stars coming through.
Men like Geoff Portz, Johnny Allan, George Kidd etc.
Some I have seen on youtube, but it is not the same as being there.
I would not get the thrill that I got at first because I would know a bit more about things in the later period, but I would still enjoy the spectacle of new names coming through together with foreign stars that I never saw live. Also Dominic Pye !
1955 to 1965 there were names like the Cadmen brothers Ken and Alf who I saw on TV but I can only remember their names and not their wrestling abilities and also I think the Championships carried more respect then than later when it was the the wrestlers like Les Kellet, Mick Mcmanus and Jackie Pallo who were better known than the champions and also gimmicks played a big part in pulling in the crowds.
Yes it has to be 55-65 when we have seen the rest of what happened.
The all time peak may well have been 63/64 in any case so it captures that.
I guess though it may depend on how old you are.
I like the question Romeo. I would go for 1955-65. The reason being that this would allow me to see some of the big names I watched - Pallo, McManus, Robinson etc in earlier years. It would also let me see some of the names still being talked about but recently disappeared when I came along - Dave Armstrong, Vic Hessle, Jack Pye.
