"He had experience also of Riley's Gym in Wigan and could hold his own with virtually any wrestler."
Eddie Rose
"He was worthy of a title because he could deal with anyone wanting to take liberties."
Sam Betts
"I recall him on one occasion doing a suplex on Giant Haystacks (he was not a happy bunny being lifted up!). My dad said after the bout he was praying that Haystacks did not fall on him "
Son
He's the subject of our latest tribute.
It could have been earlier than that even, late 60s, early 70s. I don't think we should be too bogged down with the question, just that he was a fantastic wrestler and very strong.
Great write-up on Paul Duvall. I remember him once when he was on the same bill as myself in Morecambe. He was against Dwight D. Ingleburg (Sam Betts). His physique was very impresive and I remember thinking to myself "Hope this guy is not my opponent". I was pleased when the promoter came over and said that Jan Olsen was my opponent!
I can well believe that he did a supplex on Giant Haystacks.
Supplexing GIANT HAYSTAX??- Really??-Come On!!
