Personally speaking I was always a sucker for a masked wrestler on the bill.If the bill was a bit 'iffy' but a mask was on I would be swayed to go.However.not particulary the other way round.Your opinions please.
the title belts tended to be more relevant in the lower weights especially from the late 1960s onwards, most of the masked men seemed to be in the upper weights and didn't need the belts to sell tickets plus by the 1970s the heavyweight belt had been devalued to such an extent by the Crabtrees that it greatly reduced the drawing power of the said title
Me too, and I'm sure we weren't the only ones Romeo. If it's a career masked man hen it's got to be the mask that's the more important - good champions like Colbeck, Dempsey, Mann, Riley couldn't make it to top of the bill, but Kendo, Dr Death, Ghoul, Outlaw etc etc didn't need a title.
