A local promoter who was based in Carlisle I have tried to find out about him and drew a blank, does anyone know if the Carlisle shows were his only venue? how long did he operate? Did he work with Joint or was he independent.? Over to you all.

Last year on this day (Sunday afternoon here at the moment Ost) I was in Auckland and it was pouring down/
Bloomin' 'eck Ostie, what have you got at your house? Just post your address. We won't tell anyone. But a bus load of us will be round later.
Was pretty sure I had one of his cards in my collection of photos, finally managed to dig it up. Even a photo of the man himself. Looks like he got his talent from De Rel:
He seems like a man who could turn his hand to a number of things if there was a profit to be made. I am surmising that Carlisle might well have been his only venue as he catered for coach parties at his shows.
The Turf Accountant part of my post was 1950 and with a bit if genealogical guesswork I will suggest that William Little was born 1910 and in the 1930's and 1940's was involved in selling Fruit and Veg.
Well that's at least three premises he worked from not including the covered market. I wondered in the previous thread if he was someone who had his fingers in other pies so to speak, seems I was right. Thanks for the info gentlemen I wonder if the covered market was his only venue?. Also will he be added to the list of promoters?.
From 1954 to 1958 at least.
I found quite a few businesses under the name little in Carlisle's past. But was unable to find anything on William, I wonder how long he operated at the covered market because what bills I have seen were all 1958.
This sounds like one for Ron. But William Little definitely worked with Joint, as shown here in one from Ron's collection. It wasn't a one off, he used Joint wrestlers for years.
I thought he sounded familiar. He was brought up a few weeks ago in connection with a belt
