The following snippet appeared in issue 118 of the American pro wrestling magazine "Wrestling News"
circa 1985/86. The magazine regularly featured articles from both the U.K. and also from the European tournaments. The following was by their European contributor Gerhard Schaefer.

Thanks alanapally. What an interesting snippet of history. That was a Government policy to restrict the development of wrestling. Unless, of course, the prohibition made wrestling all the more attractive for teenagers when they reached the permitted age.
