Sad news. I remember Barry so well from my boyhood watching wrestling on Saturday afternoons. A real true worker, from the golden era of wrestling. RIP Burly Barry Douglas.

Fair play and well deserved. Respect.

Jimmy Breaks was a great wrestler. You could see that he had all the necessary grappling skills required for the professional wrestling ring. You could never take that away from him. A sad end, but a happy release in many ways. I will always remember Jimmy Breaks arguing with the ref, the crybaby tantrums, and the famous striped trunks. A real entertainer. RIP Jimmy Breaks.

Such sad news. Remember Adrian so well. A real pioneer in his time, and clearly a great wrestling talent. Sadly gone. RIP Adrian.

Rollerball Mark Rocco said in an interview, that he’d had a heated bout with Goldbelt Brian Maxine. So much so, that the punters were literally going mad by the end of the bout! With Maxine caught hanging trapped in the ropes! Both wrestlers fantastic at generating the heat.

Such sad news. I have an old black and white picture of a young Brian Dixon, with Bert Royal and Vic Faulkner. RIP and what a tremendous contribution you made to the wrestling business.

RIP Dickie Davies. A true legend of World of Sport. Dickie, would share a joke with Kent Walton during the broadcast.

I remember reading all about Spencer Churchill, in Kent Walton’s book This Grappling Game. Great wrestler, known for his amazing physique. RIP.

That sounds like Reslo S4C. An Orig Williams promotion. Good wrestling, and Orig Williams was a good promoter and wrestler, El Bandito.

For me it changed when ITV changed the regular scheduled program to WCW. Big Daddy was still active, but by this stage I was bored. This was the late 80’s. I had attended some shows, and they were good. YouTube, got me watching wrestling again.

Marvellous Mike could always be relied upon to dish out some punishment. His wrestling skills were fantastic.

A great picture of Rollerball Rocco with his father, Jimmy Hussey. They look like brothers, as opposed to father and son! Rollerball Rocco, hugely talented as a wrestler and a fantastic pioneer of the sport. When interviewed, he came across as a genuinely nice guy. Sadly, it’s hard to believe that the true all time greats of the squared circle are no longer with us.
