I couldn't believe it when I read an article about traditional Lancashire wrestling and how Ashton-under-Lyne played a big part in it and The Snipe inn, I grew up there and knew nothing although that was 1800s.

@Hack Sorry, but I assumed 1950s as that was after the war, but yes could have been before then directly after the war, he would have been 31 in 1945 or 25 in 1939.
