lander.diane - I´m sorry, but I don´t. I think I may have an old Jack Taylor programme/bill but it will still be in the UK, in storage. If you remember, Jack used to do a full two-page article, with the odd photo, of all of us in turn, with the evening´s bill on the back. With circumstances as they are, we have no idea when we will be able to travel back to the UK. If I can speak to friends over there, and arrange something, I will let you know. Stay well.

Where does time go??? I look at all the names on the list and deflate. I saw a lot of them. I wrestled with some of them. And it seems like only yesterday. Apart from some aches and pains, I still feel the same now as I did back then, but know I would fall over if someone sneezed on me ! And if I threw a guy onto the ropes to bounce him back and hit him, by the time he got to me, I would have forgotten what I did it for ! The older you get, the quicker time flies by. Hope everyone is safe and well.

This is a total shock to me. I saw the crash on the UK news, but never dreamed it involved an old friend. John and Mick Collins (whose name I took when Mick retired) all travelled together for Jack Taylor on a very regular basis - as many as seven or eight fights a week. There were even times when we were returning home after a long week, and John would work out a route away from the main drags, so Jack or Doug (Jack´s brother) would not see us and turn us around to go fight somewhere else, as often happened. Now we have lost him, and Mick Collins, too, fairly close together. R.I.P John. You were a good friend and confidante back in the day - the days we all lived in Leicester and lit up the Granby Halls. I shall always remember you.

Been very busy building up my property portfolio, but now we are in total lockdown, I can´t travel, so plenty of time on my hands right now. No rest for the wicked.

I admired Alan, too. He was a great wrestler, and a quiet chap, but very friendly. He kept the fans quiet by showing his skills in the ring.

I wrote some time ago about the sister of Chris McManus of Leicester, who also wrestled. I could not remember her wrestling name. I have spoken to Chris, and his sister was GERDA SNYDER, and she was good. She tagged with another Leicester lady whose first name was Brenda, but we don´t know her surname or wrestling name. Any ideas?

One never mentioned is Lady Caroline. Jack Taylor, as I remember, married her and they lived in Leicester for a while. She was good, as well as glamorous!

It is many years ago now, but Mick and I were great friends. He was the first wrestler to befriend me when <i took it up under Jack Taylor. If you read my Profile, you will see that when Mick gave up due to a serious back injury, I replaced him in several bouts, because we looked very much alike. He was not only a brilliant wrestler, but also a lovely human being, with a fantastic sense of humour. I am saddened by his death, and shall never forget him. My condolences go to his family and close friends. R.I.P. Mick. You are in my memories.

I have always thought that it began dying when the last of the legends, or "characters" passed on, and at all weights, not just heavyweight. From the likes of Bernard Murray, The Royals, George Kidd, Dennis & Don Mitchell, Jackie Pallow, up to Bruno Elrington, Big Daddy, Klondyke Bill, and others. Once they disappeared from the fray, there were no characters or comedians to take their place. Many have tried and failed, however, right up until the present day. It´s only my opinion, though.
