Larry was on the first show I ever attended, tagging with Mal Kirk against Shirley and Mick McMichael at Whitby in 1982. He signed his autograph in the bar afterwards and chatted with us. Pete Ross and John Cox were also there. This is a sad loss. R.I.P. Larry.

We had a move called the sugar bag, which was modified in the U.S.A. and renamed the power bomb. Over here, the perpetrator's hands went on the backs of their opponent's thighs. The modification saw the perpetrator's arms wrapped around their opponent's torso. The sugar bag was more close-in, the power bomb more impactful, I suppose.

The Quinn bout was 1979, so I'm pretty sure Shirley used it on Tony Walsh after that.

Max put shows on at Whitby Spa Theatre (now Whitby Pavilion) in 1982. I believe Pallo booked the same venue in 1977, having read Steve Serene's mask story.

That would make sense as Mick McMichael was on that bill in a Daddy tag match against Mal Kirk and Blackjack Mulligan.
