Here's an Interesting DEVEREUX Programme from WIMBLEDON PALAIS-THURSDAY-12TH NOVEMBER
1959!!-A CATCHWEIGHT Contest is Featured Between PAUL LINCOLN and KEN SHAW!!
Is This One of the Very Last Bouts before LINCOLN Donned The Infamous Mantle of DOCTOR DEATH??
Can RON find a Later Match?
Another Curio on This Bill is The Top Match which Pits THE GHOUL against TERRY O'NEILL just before
he became DOCTOR BLOOD!!
Can This GHOUL be BOMBER BATES at This Late Date??-When Ill-Health had set in??
Or being a DEVEREUX Promotion-is it more Likely to be BILL COVERDALE?
Again Over to RON??
In Any Event a Bill Full of Major Mysteries!!
Was LINCOLN ALREADY Wrestling as DOCTOR DEATH BY NOVEMBER 1959??
Had BATES ALREADY Retired by NOVEMBER 1959??
MAIN MASK
I can move us on a few months more.
11th May 1960 at the Plaza in Guildford. Dodgy doings from Paul Lincoln as he double up on the bill. His only previous appearance at the hall was in March as Dr Death. But two months later he's back, both maskless and masked

Thanks MM, I didn't have this one. I wonder if Big Boy Scott could also be a potential candidate for this Ghoul.
My own feeling is that Bomber Bates did wrestle in bad health late. But I think only in the Manchester area. Just my guess.
Only a little later Adrian , Here is a 1960 Dr Death.
But in May 1960 Cyril Knowles beat Paul Lincoln at Guildford.
I think we have been here before though. He tried out as Dr Death , maybe not his own idea , and at some point decided to Go For It. The overlap of both was about a year.
